The first East Coast stop on our 2017 event tour brings us to the North Carolina State Fairgrounds outside Raleigh for the 3rd annual North Carolina Nationals. From sunrise to early evening, droves of the South’s finest classics, mighty muscle cars, hot rods and pristine pickups could be seen cruising the grounds and lining the lots!
Mild morning temps followed by beautiful afternoon skies painted a perfect picture for a day of cool cars, cool people and good times. With real estate at a premium, droves of “Goodguys” showed up early with their candy-colored vehicles to snatch up the best possible parking spots to show off their rides, giving showgoers the opportunity to get up close and personal with over 1,500 cars. Add a huge indoor swap meet, the outdoor vendor midway and full throttle, tire burning AutoCross action, there was an activity for everyone.
Fridays are a bit more relaxed then Saturdays, so don’t worry if you missed today’s action. We’re gearing up for more fun on Saturday and even more action on K & N Filters All American Sunday. So grab the family, tell your friends, top off your car, blow off the dust, and come out and enjoy all the cool cars, cool people and good times at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds for the Goodguys 3rd North Carolina Nationals. See y’all bright and early tomorrow morning. Spectator gates open at 8 am.
Until then, enjoy some pics of today’s action!
